Beginning Gelli Printing with Nature
For adults and youth (Ages 10+)

About the class:
Using a synthetic gel plate, we will use both natural and man-made objects to create prints. We will be using acrylic paint, and each student will have a gelli plate and lots of paper to work with. There is no need for prior art experience with this technique. It is a fun and approachable process that both adults and youth can enjoy!

Additional info:
All class materials will be provided. Students may bring their own botanicals to create prints (optional). Maximum 10 students.

Scholarships may be available. If funds are a barrier to learning, apply for financial assistance HERE.

About the instructor:
Jill Marks began printmaking in 2016 where she learned the art of Gyotaku (Japanese fish printing) from Heather Fortner. Jill’s art has expanded since then to include gelli plate printing, eco printing, and lino-cut print making. She enjoys utilizing natural botanicals in her artwork and hopes to inspire an appreciation and sense of stewardship toward nature and our environment through her work.
