Students of all skill levels are encouraged to join us for an in-depth series of guided exercises as we learn how to use meditative painting to quiet the chaos and focus the senses.
Our goal is to become more centered and observant, reduce stress, and support our physical, mental, and artistic well-being. Emphasis is placed on the process of seeing and painting, not the finished product. In this class there is no wrong way or bad painting. Some of our exercises will adapt standard meditation techniques, but this is not a conventional meditation workshop. You do not have to have any prior experience with painting or meditation. All materials and techniques will be explained and demonstrated by the instructor, and we expect to have both beginners and experienced painters in class. All materials provided.
