Central Coast Chorale (CCC) was formed in 1997 by local residents to provide chorale experiences to the community.
The chorale is comprised of members of the greater coastal communities in and around Lincoln County, and performs several times a year, mainly the Christmas “Wishes and Candles” concert and the spring “Anything Goes” concert. Winter and spring concerts also include participation by additional invited instrumentalists and guests.
In 2010, the group performed in the Newport Symphony Orchestra’s presentation of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, and in the 2011-12 Season, performed in the orchestra’s presentation of Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”
The CCC performs music from classical to contemporary styles and is open to all members of the community, with the condition of a required informal audition with the director.
The CCC is a non-profit 501c(3) organization and donations are fully tax-deductible.
Practice times are 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Newport Performing Arts Center on alternate Saturdays.
To perform quality chorale music, to enhance our musical skills, to provide educational musicianship opportunities, and to share our love of music with the community.
