While it is true that Michele has not met a craft she doesn’t enjoy, she has decided to focus her attention primarily on glass and stones. Michele has always loved to work with her hands starting early with knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, and crocheting, graduating into sewing. Learning to sew came in handy when she made her two children clothes. Michele was introduced to stained glass in the 70’s and fused glass even later by a great teacher who expanded her horizons. She began creating jewelry when she discovered beautiful stones. She learned to sandblast and carve glass from Norm Dobbins, adding a new dimension of possibilities to glass. Learning to weld to create attractive displays for her bigger glass pieces felt like a natural progression.
