Acclaimed artist Kathryn Damon-Dawson has been painting with watercolors for many years, and by 1997, she had completed her first series, Arctic Wildflowers. In 2005, Kathryn joined with a small group of artists to form Backstreet Gallery, where her paintings’ subject matter has evolved from wildflowers, to people, to birds. And most recently her paintings have included musical instruments along with the birds.
Kathryn also wrote “Tundra Rhythms – Adventures with Super Cub 75 Papa Charlie,” which describes 35 years of exploring Alaska with her husband/pilot, Rand.
Come visit with Kathryn and enjoy her work at Backstreet Gallery during her reception at the 2nd Saturday Gallery Tour, Saturday, June 8, 3 – 5 p.m. Jeff Lovejoy will be playing his wonderful music, and there will be wine and hors d’oeuvres.
