Violinist Anthea Kreston, Special Guest Artist for the Newport Symphony's January 18 & 19 Concerts will be in a special Newport Performance on Saturday, January 11 at First Presbyterian Church.

The music of Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi and more comes alive in a free concert Saturday, January 11th at 7:00pm at First Presbyterian Church in Newport.

This concert is the first of three concerts in the Winter Concert Series, presented by the Oregon Coast Youth Symphony Festival. Saturday’s concert includes performances by the amazing Cascade Piano Trio featuring violinist Anthea Kreston, cellist Jason Duckles, and pianist Grace Choi along with the young and talented musicians of Forest Grove High School’s String Quintet.

Kreston will be the special guest violin soloist at the upcoming Newport Symphony Orchestra at the Ocean concerts on January 18 & 19 where she will be performing in Felix Mendelssohn's “Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64.”

It's an evening of classics performed by some of the most outstanding performers in the Northwest. The concert is free with donations accepted to support the Oregon Coast Youth Symphony Festival in April.

Don't miss it Saturday, January 11th at 7:00pm at First Presbyterian Church, 227 NE 12th street in Newport.

The Winter Concert Series is made possible in part by grants from the Oregon Cultural Trust and the Lincoln County Cultural Coalition.
