Newport Public Library 2024 Summer Music Series: Featuring Kathy Redwine
Newport, OR – The Newport Public Library is thrilled to announce the next enchanting performance in our 2024 Summer Music Series. Join us on Saturday, July 20th from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm for an unforgettable musical experience with the talented singer-songwriter Kathy Redwine. The event will be held in the scenic Literacy Park, located behind the Newport Public Library at 35 NW Nye Street.
Kathy Redwine, a native Oregonian, brings a wealth of musical experience to the stage, with 17 years of living and performing in Nashville and 26 years of songwriting. Her music, a heartfelt blend of Americana, folk, and songwriter genres, promises to captivate audiences with honest, fun, and emotionally resonant original songs, alongside familiar covers that invite sing-alongs. Kathy will be accompanied by her friends, Don Nelson on bass, and Rian Martinsen on cajon and percussion, creating a rich and engaging musical tapestry.
Families are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and their enthusiasm for an afternoon filled with music, community, and enjoyment. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will seamlessly relocate indoors to the cozy Reading Room of the Newport Public Library, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
