Drawing the Figure in Motion
with Jordan Essoe
In celebration of the Northern Hemisphere’s longest day of the year, we will gather to study the figure in motion.
The instructor will demonstrate techniques for observing and sketching forms in action. Then we will have two hours with a live model, who will move and dance as we draw her in charcoal. The model’s movements will initially be small and subtle, and then increase in speed and complication as the evening progresses.
A group critique will complete the evening, and the sun will set near 9pm, just after class concludes.
