Suminagashi/Orizomegashi
with Jocelyn Stoody
Tuesday, September 30th, 5-7pm
$65 | Ages 14+ (with accompanying adult)
All skill levels welcome!
In this class we will start with Suminagashi, the art of Japanese marbling. Students will touch their brushes to the water’s surface and create magical ripples of ink that float into beautiful patterns. Then one drops washi paper onto the surface to pick up the inks. Later we will fold papers into patterns and pick up the dyes to create more of a tie-dyed patterning on the washi paper.
All supplies will be provided. Deadline to register is September 26
