I am inspired to design jewelry that reflects the colors of the sea glass I gathered for years. I also love the rich colors of the wine country and the diverse shapes of the flowers in my garden.
Having previously studied fashion design and watercolor, my jewelry designs began with sea glass earrings. It wasn't until after moving to Florence, OR that I discovered glass beads. Just as in watercolor, each color bounces off each other so it's like "painting with beads". A trip to the "Bead & Button Show" in 2013 inspired me to integrate wire and fiber to achieve the colors, shapes and textures I envision.
As a founding Board member of the Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA), and organizer of the Arts Festivals, I now serve as the event chair for FRAA for the Rhody Days Arts Festival, Holiday Arts Festival and the Winter Arts Festival.
My work can be seen at the Arts Festivals in Florence, the River Gallery in Old Town and the Tsunami Gallery in Gardiner.
