Backstreet Gallery artist, Karen Nichols, is an award winning artist writer and teacher. After many years teaching in California, she retired and came to Florence in 2005.
Karen creates in a variety of media—watercolor, bas-relief paper painting, oil, watercolor, acrylics, photography, and colored pencil. You will find both 2D and 3D pieces within her exhibit or displayed elsewhere in the gallery.
She is available for commissions in oil, acrylic, watercolor, bas relief paper painting for portraits of children, adults or homes. Florals and birds can be created in torn paper to enhance your décor.
Prints of her paintings and photographs are available in the bin below, Pocket Poetry books, intriguing novels and her greeting cards are displayed around the gallery.
Her work has been shown at the FEC, Silver Lining, Peace Harbor Hospital, libraries in Florence & Mapleton, and Old Town Coffee.
