Richard Eyre’s beloved production of Bizet’s masterpiece returns for a special encore this season. Mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča as Carmen, tenor Roberto Alagna as Don José. This is the iconic 2010 Met performance—a fan favorite of The Met: Live in HD series. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.
This special encore is presented in celebration of Met Opera Live in HD series’s 20th anniversary. It is not included in the season, but season ticket holders may add it on for only $19 by calling the box office (541-265-ARTS). Presented in HD on the big screen at the Newport Performing Arts Center’s Alice Silverman Theatre.

About the Newport Performing Arts Center
