Bold Landscapes in Oils
with Khara Ledonne
Saturday, May 30
11:30am-4:00pm (with half hour lunch break)
Adults and Youth 14+ (w/adult)
In this class, we will paint the Natural Bridges in Oregon. Focus will be on the bold contrast (and sneaky subtlety) between dark and light values. We will discuss the magic of uneven values in artwork. Each student will work on a panel prepared with an underpainting, allowing us to finish the paintings in one day. The beginning of class will be spent mixing colors and testing strokes on scrap panels. Halfway through the painting process, we’ll review our progress for questions and constructive feedback. Remainder of the class will be for each student to finish their piece with as much freedom or guidance as desired.
Deadline to register is May 25
