Hand-Gilded Holiday Workshop

In this holiday gilding workshop, participants will learn the age-old art of applying paper-thin metal or gold leaf to create festive keepsakes. Students will explore three different ways of applying metal to objects, using gold foil, transfer foil paper, and multi-colored metal leaf. Participants will take home a variety of hand-gilded ornaments and holiday items at the end of class. All skill levels welcome; all materials provided.

About the instructor:Khara Ledonne has worked as a professional artist for 20 years with a history of murals, sign painting, miniatures, and painting in oil, gouache, and acrylic. She now resides in the PNW and is a member of the co-op gallery ForArtSake here in Nye Beach. She is generally excitable, curious and inclusive.
