Stop by the Newport Visual Arts Center to view a special exhibit featuring works by art students from Lincoln County High School Students. Enjoy student-created paintings, drawings, woodworking, photography, and more.
An opening reception will be held on Friday, May 8th, from 6-8pm. This event will feature light refreshments, music, and awards. All are welcome; admission is free.
Last Year’s student show boasted 117 original works of art, and 22 awards were given, judged by six professional artists. This year, awards will be presented during the opening reception. Artwork will be judged by professional artists, based on elements and principles of design. Students, parents, teachers, education administrators, and the public are encouraged to celebrate and support arts in education at the opening reception and throughout the month.
To help ensure an enjoyable experience for all, we kindly encourage guests to consider attending fragrance-free in support of those with allergies and sensitivities.
Lincoln County School District offers a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum across all high schools in the district. Students develop valuable technical and employability skills through diverse programs including welding, woodshop, digital arts, engineering, and more. These hands-on learning experiences prepare students for in- demand careers while fostering creativity, problem-solving abilities, and professional competencies that extend beyond the classroom.
