Due to concerns about the spread of Covid-19, and the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts prioritization of the health of students and teachers, we are rescheduling the March workshops for adults. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we’ll let you know as soon as we’ve set new dates for these events.
There are four options regarding your registration fee:
- Apply it to the new date! We’ll let you know as soon as we can about reschedule dates.
- A credit toward any upcoming art class for adults.
- Refund your registration (minus a $5 processing fee). Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your refund request.
- Please consider donating your registration fee to OCCA. Email email@example.com to receive a donation receipt.
Thank you for your understanding.
Take a “flight of fancy”! Experience the humming of wings, flickers of color and twinkle of lights as our fairies emerge and congregate in this fanciful workshop. You will learn how to make heads, hands and feet out of polymer clay. The body armature and wings are easily created with metal wires and then wrapped in padding to fill out the body shape. Then the really fun part— you will dress your fairy with fabric, jewelry, floral components and whatever else suits your fancy.
All the materials for the fairy are provided. You are encouraged to bring your own fun stuff to dress them, including fabric, yarn, strings, ribbons, raffia, jewelry, buttons, beads (including polymer clay) feathers and other natural materials that can be attached with a glue gun.
No previous experience necessary. Leave your creative insecurities at home, you cannot make a mistake in these workshops. Happy mistakes make for creative learning opportunities. Register online at https://forms.gle/uWWAGqGDqaWYVfz28.
