Resilience: Multicultural Presentations
This is a program on cultural heritage in our county in conjunction with our current exhibits, Oregon Voices and Currents in Lincoln County. It will start with a guest speaker, author, and historian Ted Cox, speaking about the Toledo Incident, with updated information. Next, we will screen an Ebb & Flow documentary on the history of the Siletz Tribe. “The Siletz Story” features interviews with tribal leaders, Bud Lane and Delores Pigsley, as they recount the history of the tribe. Then we will feature vibrant traditional Mexican dances by Ballet Folklorico Oregon Coast. Following the dance performance, we will have snacks and refreshments available.
