The Oregon Coast Council for the Arts will present a night of storytelling and open mic readings on Saturday, September 28, 6:30-8:30pm in Room 205 at the Newport Visual Arts Center. The event serves as a literary component to the “Art 363: Representing the Oregon Coast” programming in the visual art spaces throughout the VAC during August and September. Join local Newport writers and guests for a night of windy words and salty tales related to the Oregon coastline. Featured speakers will start at 6:30pm, with the open mic staring at 7:30pm (5 minute limit for open mic speakers). Event is free though a $5 donation is encouraged.
