Join us for Letter Night where we will read aloud some letters from NLCHM’s collection, and letters of your own that you would be willing to share with the audience.
Letter writing carries a unique personal touch that digital communication can never replicate. The feel of the paper, the forming of individual letters in the author’s handwriting, a water stain from a teardrop or the smudge of ink – even the smell can evoke the time and place the letter was written.
This event is also the opening reception for NLCHM’s new exhibit, “Postage, People, Place: How the U.S. Postal Service Helped Shape North Lincoln Communities.” Please bring your letters and reading glasses to Letter Night, 5PM to 7PM at NLCHM, 4907 SW Highway 101, Lincoln City, OR.
