Lane Arts Council and Florence Regional Arts Alliance present the first series of artist professional development workshops in Florence! Lane Arts Council regularly hosts professional development workshops and panel discussions that support artists, arts professionals, and arts organizations to strengthen their capacity and realize their vision.
The series consists of three workshops:
1) Unleash Your Creative Potential: Transforming Fear into Action

Often we are stopped from taking action because of the fears and disempowering stories we tell ourselves. Uncover your path to creative success by transforming your fear into inspired action. You will develop empowering mindset tools to help you focus on your creative practice, build your business, or accomplish any goals you desire! This workshop will focus on three important areas: 1) uncover the fears and stories that get in your way; 2) get clear on your vision and goals; and 3) become inspired to take action!

Strengthen your portfolio and increase opportunities to show your work locally and regionally. This panel discussion will focus on best practices of building a portfolio, connecting with galleries and arts organizations, and creating professional materials that make you and your work shine. Learn how to find and submit to juried exhibitions and what jurors consider during the review process.

Learn the keys to building a profitable creative practice, including pricing, how to talk about your work so agents, gallery/venue owners, and ideal clients get its value right away and more easily say yes to showing or buying your artwork, and the vital elements of building a fanbase locally, regionally and beyond.
