Approximately 100 members of the Yaquina Art Association (YAA) will participate in this All-Member Show during March in the Runyan Gallery.

At the end of the month, YAA will hold its annual Arts and Crafts Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 29 through Sunday, March 31 at the Newport Visual Arts Center. With over 80 items donated by previous artists for sale and art books, as well as photographic equipment, the proceeds from the sale will be earmarked for the scholarship fund.  A melted crayon project will be available for children, or adults who want to be children and experiment.
The purpose of the Yaquina Art Association  “Shall be to teach and further the pursuit and appreciation of the visual arts and crafts in every possible way, and to exhibit and provide an outlet for the benefit of the association and membership, as well as the community, and not for the benefit of any individual.”
YAA offers classes regularly in the upstairs classroom of the Visual Art Center as follows: Monday: Watercolor 9-11 am, Tuesday Oil & Acrylic 9-11 am, China Painting 1-3:30 pm, Clay 12:30-3:30 pm, Wednesday Color pencil/drawing 9-11:30 am., Thursday Pastels 10 am to 12 noon.
