Yaquina Art Association Photographers will feature approximately 30 members’ best works during April in the Runyan Gallery.
The photographers are part of the Yaquina Arts Association whose purpose is to teach and further the pursuit and appreciation of the visual arts. With that purpose in mind, YAAP tries to bring in speakers to demonstrate the techniques of photography, photo enhancement through software and to share our work with the members.
Programs for this year include: post-processing of images using software, techniques in high dynamic range photography, styles of photography (bird, industrial, patterns), specialty (black light), as well photo travel (destinations) and others.
YAAP are also members of the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs, where they compete against 30 other clubs in the surrounding four states of Washington, Idaho, Northern California and Oregon in both monthly print competition and electronic (digital) image divisions.
The Photo Club meets twice a month, on the first and third Mondays of each month except July at 7 p.m. at the Newport Visual Arts Center. Guests are always welcome. Learn more about the club online at YAAPhotographers.org.
