Oregon Coast Council for the Arts welcomes Coos County visual artist from North Bend, Terry Woodall, to the new Showcase on second floor of the Newport Visual Art Center, in a wood sculpture exhibit. View the video which accompanies his exhibit below:
Woodall has achieved international recognition and awards with his interpretive sculptures of wildlife interactions executed in both wood and bronze. He has used his wood sculpture exhibits as a springboard to express his devotion to North American wildlife.
His work has been presented at the Department of Interior Museum in Washington DC. He received the opportunity for artistic field study to Baikal, Russia by receiving an award from the Artists for Conservation Foundation Fellowship Award. This resulted in his being a featured solo artist showing at the Tahoe-Baikal Institute in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Most recently, he gave lectures and demonstrations in sculpture at the Art of Conservation 2011 and 2012 exhibits and art festival in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
