Call for Poets, Performers and Passionate People:
Lincoln County Community Rights is putting on a Social Justice Poetry Slam, September 15, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Newport Performing Arts Center in Newport.
Original poems, spoken word or rap/hip-hop entries on any social justice topic such as climate change, women’s, LGBTQ or immigrant rights, community rights and more are welcome. Any age can participate.
Performers must read the rules and register at www.lincolncountycommunityrights.org/social -justice-slam/ before September 10.
