Surf & Rocks in Watercolor

In this two-day workshop we will study crashing waves on jagged rocks using a variety of watercolor techniques. Gain skills with washes and brush effects for luminous waves and textured rocks in your coastal landscapes. On the second day of class we will also cover how to finish your completed painting by gluing it to a panel and sealing it with cold wax so it is ready to be displayed. Some experience with basic watercolor painting especially on cotton rag paper will be helpful for this class.
All Materials will be provided but the instructor will provide a list of suggested supplies for those that would like it. Deadline to register is October 20

About the instructor: Robin has a lifelong creative hand—foremost in watercolor painting and sketching, and often in design, fiber art, weaving, or garden elements. Her approach is strongly influenced by small-town life in the coastal Pacific Northwest. While working in mapping and engineering, her art pursuits continued, often self-taught along with college classes or private workshops. She relocated to Seal Rock, Oregon, in 2021 and is active with the local creative community and plein air painting gangs and enjoys hiking, tinkering, and paddling.
