Kim Cuc Tran and Ted Crego Discuss Travel Photography

Fine art photographers Kim Cuc Tran and Ted Crego will share their extensive knowledge of travel photography in April’s Talk About Art, sponsored by the Coastal Arts Guild. “Travel Photography” will focus on criteria for creating compelling photos and how to evaluate them, post-processing enhancements, latest software advancements, details about their travels and a slide show of award winning photos.
Since retiring in 2009 from dual careers in engineering, this Newport husband and wife team have traveled to 25 countries and many US states. While they photograph the same general topic they focus on different details of the environment. Kim emphasizes simplifying the image, and enjoys shooting close-ups, birds, flowers, architecture and landscapes. Ted looks for images that others may overlook, such as patterns and macro shots. His work also includes panoramas and High Dynamic Range photos.
Tran and Crego are current officers of the Yaquina Art Association Photographers whose mission is to encourage members to share, teach, learn and grow as photographers.
