Meet local artist and instructor Sue Valentine and enjoy her demonstration of Sumi-e Japanese Ink Painting during the next installment of Talk About Art sponsored by the Coastal Arts Guild. This event will be held Thursday, May 21st from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Newport Performing Arts Center in Newport.
Sue studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She is skilled in a variety of art mediums with special emphasis on printmaking, collage and watercolor. Her images often feature animals, plants or landscapes. She currently teaches at Oregon Coast Community College and leads many creative workshops throughout the region.
In addition to her brushwork demonstration, Sue will share information about several of the designers and mentors who were influential to her artistic development.
