Tea and Talk events, organized by Coastal Arts Guild, are informal afternoon gatherings for anyone curious about art and artists. Learn about inspiration, techniques, materials, and more from practicing artists. Free and open to all! Held at 2pm most third Thursdays on the 2nd floor of Newport Visual Arts Center.
This month’s event will feature Robin L. Berry: Robin is a lifelong creator – primarily a watercolorist with a technical career. Her teaching experience grew through 7 years of community art classes with Portland (Woodstock) Parks and Recreation where her “Watercolor for All” was well attended. She also taught beginning drawing and acrylics. Along with an Associates in Technical Arts, she has studied painting, design, and art history at Grays Harbor and Evergreen and Clackamas colleges. She has participated in many workshops – including Erik Sandgren, Erik Wiegardt, and Fransis Fontana. She currently exhibits locally, and paints regularly with a plein air group.
