Transgressors is a special touring exhibition presenting now and future Indigiqueer ancestors who move beyond boundaries in life and art.
Curated by Indigenous artists and advocates Felix Furby (Grand Ronde, Chinook) and Anthony Hudson (Grand Ronde, Siletz), Transgressors centers ancestral and contemporary Indigiqueer and Two Spirit artists. The exhibition explores the long history, cultural roles, and evolving identities of Two Spirit people within their tribal worlds, while highlighting ongoing efforts of cultural revitalization.

Transgressors collects the artwork and ideas of the queer Indigenous artists from our Northwest Nations and across Turtle Island and Hawai’i. Each one of them is a
transgressor: someone who moves beyond boundaries.

Indigiqueer people are medicine, but we need medicine too. We need real allies who are ready to stand with us in hard times, who can help secure a future with us in it, and to continue to maintain it- much like controlled burns that keep our lands safe and thriving.
