Watercolor Sea Turtle with Catherine Hingson
This fabulous sea turtle will have you swimming in techniques. We will use a product called Frisket to “save the white” and create texture in the background using salt and sponging techniques. Students will become familiar with “lifting color” and “dropping in color.” No drawing skills are required.

$55 + $10 Materials Fee
Materials fee covers a printed packet of instructions and the use of the following materials for the class: watercolor cards/paper, Daniel Smith tube paints, disposable palette, graphite paper, vellum, tissues, paper towels, artist tape, and frisket.

Catherine Hingson is a local artist from Depoe Bay. She is known for her impressionistic marine scenes in oil and watercolors. She leads a plein air group in Lincoln County, helping artists enjoy painting outside. Hingson teaches watercolor classes locally.
