Nature meets artistic expression in this 3-hour hands-on creative workshop. Explore block-printing techniques at the beautiful Yakona Nature Preserve. We’ll start with the basics of creating a design using the local flora and fauna around us as inspiration. Consider positive and negative space, mirror image, and relief while working on your prints. Carve your design into a “speedy carve block” and practice different ways to ink and print it. At the end of the day, you’ll head home with a block and at least two prints.

All class materials will be provided. Please bring a hat, layers, comfortable shoes, snacks/lunch, and water. Please note: There IS a bathroom and shelter at the preserve, but there is no running water, garbage collection, or electricity.

To help ensure an enjoyable experience for all, we kindly encourage guests to attend fragrance-free in support of those with allergies and sensitivities.
