Explore your connection with nature through art. Join Leeauna and Rena for two days of nature crafting fun at Yakona! Sign up for one or all of the sessions.
ALL ACTIVITIES:
Papermaking on Friday morning 8:30 – 11:30. Participants will learn the art of making homemade paper infused with native botanical inclusions.
Birdhouse and Nature Collage on Friday afternoon from 1 – 4. Participants will decorate a wooden birdhouse with acrylic pens and native botanicals. You will also use natural materials from three conifers to collage a wooden picture frame.
Nature journaling & discovery walk on Saturday morning from 8:30 – 11:30. Participants will take a walk through Yakona’s forests while being guided to observe a variety of flora. They will sketch, write, and make plant and bark rubbings in a nature journal.

Event is open to participants aged 8 and up. Youth must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
All craft materials will be provided.
This event is free. Donations are welcome.
Workshop will be held at Yakona Nature Preserve & Learning Center.
