Oregon Coast Council for the Arts is pleased to host the Yaquina Art Association All Member Show in the Runyan Gallery at the Newport Visual Art Center.
Artists will be showing a range of media in watercolor, pastels, oils, acrylics, photography, colored pencils, clay, woodwork and more. YAA has over 120 members and each artist is allowed one art piece for the show. Artwork will be available for purchase and attendees can vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Following the YAA All Member Show, there will be the annual Arts and Crafts Sale running Feb. 27 through March 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Newport Visual Arts Center. There will be demonstrations by member artists, plenty of food, and lots of framed and unframed arts and crafts for all.
Proceeds are donated to the YAA scholarship fund to further the arts by providing scholarshiips to children’s art programs as well as a college artist, and to members in Lincoln County. There will be a melted crayon make-and-take project for the young (and young at heart). Food available for purchase will include hotdogs, chili, chips, potato salad, homemade pies, cookies, brownies and coffee.
On March 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a “leftover’ art sale of art collected from the last 10-plus years. The leftover art sale will be in the third-floor classroom and proceeds will support the Newport Visual Art Center. This sale will be a chance to pick up a piece of VAC history, as various surplus supplies from the building will be available for purchase.
