We are independent music teachers on the Oregon Coast who
* Promote music-making as a life-long activity
* Motivate students with a variety of festivals, concerts, workshops and other events
* Provide a network for families who value music
* Collaborate regularly and pursue continuing education
* Belong to Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), professional organizations dedicated to fostering excellence in music education.
Our student events include the Ensemble Festival in the fall and Ribbon Festival in March. These events are open to the public free of charge. Our students participate in the Oregon Music Teachers Association Syllabus program. Our membership includes qualified teachers of piano, voice, and guitar at the present time. To find a teacher in our organization visit our website: www.lincolncountyomta.org
We also present our teachers and other members of the musical community in our annual “Spotlight on the Teachers” concert – THE JOY OF MUSIC – which benefits our scholarship fund, The Suzanne Brown Student Aid Fund. The Joy of Music concerts include all styles of music—from classical to popular—including show tunes, pop, jazz, and rock.
