“EXPLORE IDEAS, ENGAGE MINDS, EXCITE IMAGINATION… AT THE ASTORIA LIBRARY.”
The Astoria Public Library was originally incorporated on February 6, 1892. On January 1, 1914, the library became a department of the City of Astoria, with property tax as its primary base of support. County residents enjoy services for the payment of an annual fee in lieu of property tax. Since 1914, the Astoria Library has operated as an independent city library. It is located at 450 10th Street.
The library system holds over 49,000 materials including over 47,000 books, and more than 2,300 audio-visual items such as compact discs, dvds, videos and audio books. Audiovisual materials and ebooks are also available for download from Library2Go.
Our friendly and professional staff is eager to serve you. Welcome to the Astoria Public Library!
