The Liberty Theater, in the heart of downtown Astoria, was designed to transport you to a Venetian Palace and is one of Oregon’s best examples of a 1920’s vaudeville-motion picture palace.
Liberty Restoration, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of the historic Liberty Theater complex, located on the northern coast of Oregon.
Launched as a community effort in 1991, the organization received its non-profit status in 1998. The organization’s leadership is comprised of distinguished individuals from Clatsop and Pacific counties whose commitment to the project demonstrates its significance to the region.
The board includes 16 individuals from diverse fields such as accounting, banking, performing arts, real estate, law, community fundraising, academia and local government.
Clatsop Community College and Portland State University are institutional partners committed to the restoration of the complex.
