The community of Siletz offers residents a beautiful public library with a large detached conference room available for all kinds of gatherings from business meetings and community presentations to book readings and craft sales. It has four 2.5′ x 6′ tables and approximately fifty chairs, a large screen for giving presentations and an erasable white board.
One wall of the room consists of windows with a door to the outside, making it a bright and spacious area. It comes equipped with a coat rack and a food preparation area including refrigerator, sink, microwave and dishwasher. Users have access to the men’s and women’s restrooms and drinking fountains at all times, even when the library is closed.
The rental fees for the room range from free to $20, depending on the intended usage, and there is a refundable $25 cleaning deposit required for all parties. The meeting room is available to the public on a first-come-first-served reservation basis. Reservations can be made at the library with one of the circulation clerks.
For more details and ideas on how the meeting room can be used, please visit the library.
In addition to the meeting room, the library also offers a community table for use in the library foyer. Users may request the 2′ x 4′ table and two chairs to set up and use to distribute information, collect signatures, or sell items. The table must be staffed at all times and can only be operated during regular library hours. The library reader board sign may be used outside the library and users can also bring a tabletop sign for inside. There is no charge for the table but an application must be filled out.
