The Tillamook County Pioneer Museum is committed to the preservation and interpretation of the north Oregon Coast’s cultural heritage and to fostering appreciation, understanding, and respect of the north Oregon Coast’s environment. The museum features an extensive collection of over 30,000 artifacts and over 15,000 photographs on the natural and cultural history of Tillamook County. The museum features 14 permanent exhibits and has two temporary exhibit areas that change regularly. Come tour our pioneer cabin, learn about the first settlers, view the Native American collection, and tour our natural history rooms.

TCPM encourages school groups and other educational organizations to come tour the museum. Guided tours or special events at the museum can be arranged in advance. The museum is open Tuesday thru Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm. We are conveniently located in downtown Tillamook off of Hwy 101, at 2106 2nd St. in the heart of downtown Tillamook. The Tillamook County Pioneer Museum is a proud member of the Tillamook Coast History Alliance. The Mission of the Alliance is to promote and support our history-based museums, societies, and organizations in Tillamook County in order to better inform and educate the general public visiting or residing in the County.

Interested in spending the day outdoors? TCPM also owns, maintains, and protects Kilchis Point Reserve, off Hwy 101 on Warren and Spruce St. in west Bay City, Oregon. Kilchis Point is 200 acres of natural area along Tillamook Bay, featuring 2 miles of natural and paved hiking and interpretative trails. Come see the natural beauty of Kilchis Point and learn about the native wildlife, Native Americans, and the first pioneer settlers that used to call Kilchis Point home. Kilchis Point Reserve is open year around to the public.
