Wild Rain Gallery, 8 1/2 miles west of Tillamook on Oregon highway 6 in the Coast Range, once an area smoker, now has on display for over 40 local and regional artists.
After purchasing the roadside building in 2000, we spent 10 years renovating the old smoker into a gallery and home, mostly with recycled or repurposed materials.
“We’re so glad we stopped! It’s a lot bigger then we thought. And you have so many really nice things,” is the usual reaction. Wild Rain has four rooms in around 1,800 square feet of gallery space, making it one of the few, and largest, art galleries in the area.
The gallery’s collections include paintings, watercolors, textiles, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, furniture, crafts and found objects. Prices range from just a few dollars for a hand-crafted greeting card to several thousands for large scale original artwork.
We like to have something for everyone, including espresso, Christy’s wonderful home made bakery items and fine regional wines by the bottle.
It’s important to us that Wild Rain is a warm and welcoming place to stop to enjoy art and crafts and refreshments in a relaxed, beautiful and easy-going environment We make sure that art is fun, accessible and stimulating.
