Dana Bilello-Barrow - Brookings
Out of My Hands series - Saggar-fired porcelain, 13" x 8", $320
Bio: Dana Billelo-Barrow found her passion for clay 15 years ago. Her process is a delicate balance between controlling the clay and then letting go in a unique firing process. Dana’s work can be found in private and public collections throughout the west coast.
Note: A saggar is protective firing box used in the Raku Kiln. Dana uses this process along with raw minerals and organic material, such as seaweed to “draw” on each vessel, creating unexpected surface designs.
