Bio: Julie Lamberson is an Oregon coast native who sometimes ventures far from home. Her artwork similarly wanders away from watercolor. She is recently exploring large-scale murals, and for this sidetrip, oil pastel.
Note: In the context of masked faces, smiles have become even more precious. This 2003 smile comes from a girl who speaks Quechua, who lives in Atucucho–a shanty town perched at 10,500 feet– peering over the city of Quito.
