A very special final session of the Oregon Coast Jazz Party, “Oregon Coast Jazz Party All-Stars Play the Nat King Cole Songbook,” starts at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The entire artist lineup joins together for a celebration of Nat King Cole’s 100th birthday! From his inimitable voice and piano style to the many hits he made famous, like “Mona Lisa,” “Route 66,” “Unforgettable,” and his own composition “Straighten Up and Fly Right,” Nat Cole’s music is something to celebrate! With short breaks for food and beverage.
Presented by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, this session of the jazz party features reserved seating in the Alice Silverman Theatre at the Newport Performing Arts Center, equipped with the Meyer Constellation system’s superb acoustics. To get the discounts available for students, Lincoln County locals, and OCCA members, please call the center’s box office at 541-265-2787, or drop by in person at 777 W. Olive Street in Newport.
