Cynthia Jacobi – Newport

The Guardian - Drypoint etching, chine collé, 9 x 11”, $60 (framed)

Bio: Multi-media artist Cynthia Jacobi has followed a new fascination with drypoint etching. Her collage work, with layers of papers, has been extended with chine collé applications in printing.

Note: The Guardian is from her photo of a carved Asian temple figure on Japanese rice papers.

Elyan Jamot - Reedsport

101 Crossing the Smith River - Oil on cavas , 24” x 18” , $1,500

Bio: Elyan Jamot lives in Reedsport but travels to Europe every year. She paints mainly on location but also from her own photos, including portraits.

Sharon Kathleen Johnson - Seaside

Bio: Sharon Kathleen Johnson has a B.A. in English literature but minored in fine art at Clatsop Community College, Reed College and Portland State University. She has had shows at the Ricciardi, Pacific Rim, Riversea, Shearwater, and Fairweather galleries in the Seaside area.

Susan Jones – Newport

Rustic Awakening - Dyed-reed sculpture, 12” x 12” x 13”, $675

Bio: Using the flowing movement of water as her inspiration, Susan Jones weaves vines into free form organic sculptures.

Note: The current global crisis inspired the addition of a protective coating of handmade paper to a previously open transparent sculpture. This dyed-reed sculpture is covered with handmade paper made from local Sedge plants.

Kristina Kartsioukas - San Luis Obispo, CA

The Times She Did Not Speak - Watercolor, ink, cut paper and graphite, 11” x 14”, $275 (unframed)

Bio: Cristina Kartsioukas is a multi-media artist exploring aspects of humanity as well as the humanistic elements of the natural world. She previously worked at the Newport Visual Arts Center. While she resides on California’s Central Coast, Newport remains dear to her heart!

Note: This piece was completed after a Zoom paper-cutting and meditation workshop led by artist Swoon, with artists participating from around the world.

Tara Kemp - Eugene

Bio: Tara Kemp paints scenes of Oregon in oil on canvas in an impressionist style.
